Takamina returned to the school’s campus wondering what they should fill in the pie tins and grew curious about whipping cream. She walked over to the kitchen to find the chef topping the pie pieces with the white foamy substance.
“Is there something you want?” The chef asked.
“I was wondering… if you can order whipping cream for our fundraiser.” Takamina looked up to his stern expression.
“Well, we can but it’ll cost you a bit for the one we get within the country.” He explained as Takamina began to think.
“Is there a cheaper alternative?”
The chef looked around and tossed her a catalog of items. She scanned through the selection of whipping cream and pointed to the cheapest one on the market. He gave a weird expression before writing it down on his booklet.
“When do you need it?”
“In two weeks.” She answered as he wrote down the estimate.
“Pay me by this time in two weeks and we have a deal.” He smiled as she shook his hand.
